Thank you to those who were unsuccessful on this occasion for taking the time to stand for election.

There were 59 candidates who nominated themselves for election to 20 seats on the Council of Governors:

  • 2 in the patient carer class (for 1 seat)
  • 17 in the Guy's and St Thomas' patient class (for 4 seats)
  • 5 in the Royal Brompton and Harefield patient class (for 3 seats)
  • 20 in the public constituency area around Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals (for 6 seats)
  • 10 in the Guy's and St Thomas' clinical staff class (for 3 seats)
  • 2 in the Guy's and St Thomas' community staff class (for 1 seat)
  • 2 in the Royal Brompton and Harefield clinical class (for 1 seat)
  • 1 in the Royal Brompton and Harefield non-clinical staff class (for 1 seat)

New governors terms start on 1 July 2024 and run to 30 June 2027.

Next elections to the Council of Governors will be held in spring 2025.

Vacancies for governor seats:

  • 1 seat in the patient carer class
  • 3 in the Guy's and St Thomas' patient class
  • 2 in the public constituency area around Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals class
  • 1 in the public constituency area around Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals class
  • 1 in the public constituency area for the rest of England and Wales class
  • 2 in the Guy's and St Thomas' non-clinical staff class
